Marrakech Essaouira Exploration Trip
A 4-day trip to Essaouira, Marrakech includes airport transfer, exploring the city by foot, visiting fortifications, souks, and art galleries, and relaxing on beaches and in the medina. Optional excursions are available on day 3.
Day 1: Marrakech Apt– Essaouira
Welcome to Marrakech! Upon arriving at the airport, a driver will be waiting to take you on a scenic drive to the coastal city of Essaouira. This journey will take about 2.5 hours and will pass through charming towns and lush argan forests. Upon arrival in Essaouira, you will check into your comfortable accommodation, ready to explore this unique and beautiful destination.
Day 2: Half day Essaouira by feet
Essaouira is a city full of surprises, and your visit will be no exception. As you explore the impressive fortifications, you’ll be struck by the unique mixture of Portuguese and Berber military architecture. These structures stand as a testament to the city’s history and the diverse cultural influences that have shaped it.
As you wander through the souks, you’ll be mesmerized by the sights, sounds, and scents of this vibrant marketplace. Be sure to visit the carpentry workshops, where skilled artisans create intricate and beautiful works of art from cedar and thuya wood.
After taking in these cultural treasures, head to the modern art galleries to see what the contemporary scene has to offer. As the day draws to a close, make your way to the walled harbor and indulge in some fresh, barbecued fish. This is the perfect way to end a day of discovery and exploration.
In the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax and do as you please. Whether you choose to simply unwind or set out to discover more of Essaouira on your own, this is a day to be savored and remembered.
Day 3: day at leisure
Today is a day for you to do as you please. If you’re feeling adventurous, consider booking an optional excursion to one of the many amazing attractions in the surrounding area. There are countless options to choose from, including visits to historic sites, natural wonders, and cultural landmarks.
Or, if you prefer to stay closer to home, Essaouira has plenty to offer as well. You could spend the day soaking up the sun on the sandy beaches, trying your hand at surfing, or exploring the charming streets of the medina. No matter how you choose to spend your day, make it a memorable one.
Day 4: Essaouira – Marrakech Apt
