Day 1- Casablanca Airport / Casablanca hotel
Welcome to Casablanca, Morocco! After landing you will be met at the airport by a driver holding a sign with your name, who will transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 Casablanca – Rabat

The Hassan II Mosque is a large and beautiful mosque located in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the largest mosque in the country and the seventh largest in the world, with a capacity of over 25,000 worshippers. The mosque was named after King Hassan II, who commissioned its construction and was involved in its design. It features traditional Moroccan and modern architectural elements and has a unique location on the coast, allowing worshippers to pray facing towards Mecca with a view of the ocean. After visiting the mosque, you will travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to tour the city and visit the gardens of the royal palace and the Mohammed V mausoleum. The gardens are a peaceful oasis in the city, and the mausoleum is a marble monument that contains the tombs of the last two kings of Morocco. Many consider the mausoleum to be the most beautiful monument in the country and it is often visited by officials as part of protocol. After the tour, you have the option to either continue exploring Rabat with suggestions from your guide or return to you hotel for some rest

Day 3 – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis– Fes 

Today, you will be embarking on a journey to Fes, passing through Meknes and the Roman city of Volubilis along the way. Meknes is one of Morocco’s royal cities and was built and became prosperous in the 17th century under the rule of Moulay Ismail, a powerful sultan. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see Bab el Mansour, considered the most beautiful gate in Morocco, as well as the stables and granaries of the king’s army. You will then drive north to visit Volubilis, a Roman archaeological site that was excavated in the early 20th century and revealed the Roman Empire’s most remote city. After exploring Volubilis, you will continue your journey across a beautiful countryside to the hills leading down to the city of Fes.

Day 4 –Fes

by a certified English-speaking guide who will take you on a tour of this beautiful medieval city. You will start at the Bab Boujlloud gate and make your first stop at the Bou Inania Medrassa, the largest in Fez and a great example of Marinid architecture built between 1350 and 1357. Afterwards, you will walk to En-Nejjarine Square, known for its caravanserai (foundouks) and the Nejjarine fountain, the oldest famous fountain in Fez. The walk continues to Es-Seffarine Square, the coppersmith square, and then to the tanners’ quarter located near the Andalusian quarter with its mosque and the Es-Sahrij medersa. In the afternoon, you will visit the royal palace of the late 19th century, where King Hassan I lived, and see its central four parts garden and the gigantic oak tree. The palace is now a museum of traditional Fes art, followed by a stroll in the Jewish quarter where you can visit a 17th century synagogue. At the end of the trip, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 5 –   Fes – Middle Atlas – Erfoud- Merzouga

After breakfast, you will embark on a long and interesting journey heading south from Fes. Along the way, you will pass through Imouzzer Kandar, Ifrane, and Azrou, a typical Berber town with flat-roofed earth houses. The road will take you through magnificent cedar, pine, and oak forests, offering a diverse range of impressions. You will stop for an optional lunch in Midelt before continuing on to Tafilalte, home of Morocco’s current royal family. From there, you will travel along the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and meet a 4×4 to take you deep into the breathtaking dunes of Merzouga. You will go on a camel ride to watch the sunset from the top of the dunes and spend the night in a tent in the middle of nowhere.

Day 6 – Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Skoura

If you wish, you can wake up early to witness the sunrise in the dunes. It is a special occasion that you may want to capture with some photos. After enjoying the sunrise, you will walk back to the camp for breakfast and then prepare to head to Skoura. Along the way, you will stop in Tineghir to visit the Todra Gorges, which are about 1,000 feet high. Afterward, you can have an optional lunch at one of the local restaurants before continuing your drive through the “Valley of the Roses” and El Kelaa M’gouna, known as Morocco’s “rose capital.” You will arrive in Skoura late in the afternoon.

Day 7 – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, you will continue your journey to Marrakech, passing through the spectacular UNESCO village of Ait Ben Haddou. This area is known for its beauty and has attracted many movie producers in recent years, who have used it as a filming location for movies such as Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, and Babel. After lunch, you will drive to Marrakech via the Tizi N-Tichka pass, which reaches an elevation of 7500 feet and can be covered in snow during the winter months. Upon arriving in Marrakech, you will check into a hotel or riad and stay overnight.

Day 9 – Marrakech

This morning, you will have the opportunity to discover the many cultural and historical attractions of Marrakech, a city known for its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. Your tour will begin with a visit to the Medina, the old walled section of the city, where you will see the Koutoubia minaret, a 12th-century landmark that is known for its architectural beauty and can be seen from all parts of the city.

You will also visit the Saadian tombs, a historical site that displays a very high level of decoration, using traditional stucco and Granada-style carving, which is typical of classical Moroccan buildings.

Next, you will visit the Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of domestic architecture that offers a glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of the city’s privileged residents in the 19th century. The palace is known for its use of marble, stucco, and mosaics, and features courtyards filled with fountains and plant life. 

In the afternoon, you will have the chance to explore the souks, a maze of colorful alleys and small squares that are home to a variety of stalls and ateliers devoted to specific crafts. As evening approaches, you will head to the Djemaa El Fna, the city’s main square, which is known for its lively atmosphere and street performers, including fire-eaters, mime artists, snake-charmers, and musicians. This tour offers a comprehensive overview of the many cultural and historical attractions of Marrakech.

Day 10 –Gardens of Marrakech, transfer to Essaouira

This morning, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous garden created by the orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle. The garden is home to a diverse collection of plants from all over the world, as well as ornamental ponds and an Art Deco villa painted in the iconic Majorelle blue. The garden is also home to more than 15 bird species native to North Africa and boasts an impressive collection of cacti. Since 1980, the garden has been owned by Yves Saint-Laurent. In the afternoon, you will travel to the charming old fortified fishing port of Mogador on the Atlantic coast. This city was originally founded and occupied by the Portuguese in the 16th century for its strategic location along the Trans-Saharan trade routes. It was later rebuilt in 1760 and named Essaouira. The city became a hub for international trade and attracted many foreigners, as well as a significant portion of the Jewish community in Morocco.

Day 11 – Essaouira

Today, we will begin our tour of this Atlantic coast city by visiting one of its historical gates and exploring its traditional and colorful streets and artisan workshops. Our local guide will take us to the 16th century Portuguese fortress and we will also see some of the local art galleries and workshops. We will continue our stroll to the fishing harbor, where we will see a variety of fish stalls. Before heading back to our hotel, we will have time to take a walk along the beach or do some shopping in town.

Day 12 – Departure:

After breakfast, you will be picked up for your private transfer to Marrakech Airport to begin your journey home. comeback soon 🙂
