"Fes' best sights in half-day"
Explore the rich history and culture of Fez on a guided tour of the ancient part of the city. Witness the Bou Inania Medrassa, the En-Nejjarine Square, and the Andalusian quarter.
Fez, the second largest city in Morocco, boasts a rich and extensive history dating back to the 9th century when it was established by Idris II. Our tour will take you through the historic part of the city, also known as Fes El Bali. Accompanied by a knowledgeable and certified English-speaking guide, you will discover the magnificence of this medieval city.
We will begin our journey at the Bab Boujlloud gate, from where we will head to the Bou Inania Medrassa. This remarkable building is the largest in Fes and an excellent example of Marinid architecture, which was constructed between 1350 and 1357.
From there, we will walk to the En-Nejjarine Square, renowned for its caravanserai, also known as foundouks, and the oldest fountain in Fes, the Nejjarine fountain.
Our journey will continue to the Es-Seffarine Square, where the coppersmith square is located, and then we will proceed to the tanners’ quarter. The tour will culminate at the Andalusian quarter, where you will have the chance to observe the mosque and the Es-Sahrij medersa.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
